Senators fan get present from Ottawa forward after Twitter exchange

Jean-Gabriel Pageau’s four-goal game cost Daxton Markwick his hat, however the Ottawa Senators forward seems prepared to really make it as much as

the 9-year-old Ottawa native.

Markwick thrown his hat to the ice after Pageau scored his third goal throughout the Senators’ 6-5 double-overtime win from the New

You are able to Rangers in Game 2 from the Eastern Conference Second Round on Saturday. When Trina Fraser made Pageau conscious of her son’s lost lid,

he provided to Markwick a replacement.

“I believed a bazillion people could be tweeting at [Pageau] following the game,” Fraser told National hockey league.com. “I did not expect an answer. I simply

desired to express gratitude to him since the smile he placed on my kid’s face was ear to ear.”

Fraser, an attorney located in Ottawa, sent Pageau a Twitter message Monday, and that he responded by requesting their address. He didn’t

specify what he’d be delivering, however it presumably will be a new hat, and Markwick was ecstatic at the possibilities of getting

something from Pageau.

“As he heard Pageau saw his picture and retweeted it, he was within the moon,” Fraser stated. “He was certainly stoked in the

considered getting a hat from him.”

Pageau’s third goal would be a redirection of Kyle Turris’ shot that tied the score 5-5 with 1:02 left within the third period. Fraser

initially did not see Pageau tip the puck, but Markwick did and sped lower the world stairs to make certain his hat would achieve the ice Toronto Blue Jays Jerseys.

“He was thrilled so that you can throw his hat around the ice,” Fraser stated. “I did not clue for the reason that which was [Pageau’s] third goal, and that he

went tearing lower the steps to throw his hat around the ice. I requested him where he was going and that he screamed, ‘Hat trick! Hat trick!’ He

chucked that hat as hard because he could.”

It had been Markwick’s first chance to toss his hat around the ice for any hat trick, but he almost did not reach Canadian Tire Center

for that mid-day start. He’d a youth hockey game in Barrhaven, about 13 miles west from the arena, and merely managed to get prior to the

opening faceoff.

Saturday apparently was Markwick’s lucky day. Besides watching his favorite team rally from three two-goal deficits, also, he won a

$100 gift certificate towards the team store at Canadian Tire Center earlier within the day. After Pageau’s 4th goal won the sport for Ottawa,

Markwick used the credit card for any new Senators hat, though it might not get much use if Pageau transmits one nhl merchandise.

“He will not even put on that certain if he will get one from Pageau,” Fraser stated.

Besides the surplus of Senators hats, Markwick can also get an excellent memory of times he lost his lid celebrating a Senators win in

the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

“As much as 5 minutes left within the third period, i was thinking it had not been likely to be a great ending,” Fraser stated. “However for what

happened next, it had been something he’ll always remember.Inch

Iannetta was hurt by HBP to face

It was an impressive 11-4 win for the D-backs over the Pirates on Friday night, but the mood in the Arizona clubhouse postgame was
subdued after catcher Chris Iannetta was taken to a local hospital after being hit in the face by a pitch.

“Any time you see one of your family members go through something like that, it’s pretty traumatic,” D-backs manager Torey Lovullo
said. “It had a huge impact on our dugout. He is a veteran, he is well liked, he’s a leader and he went down and it hurts.”
Iannetta, who homered in the third inning, was hit by a Johnny Barbato 93 mph fastball in the seventh inning.

The ball appeared to catch Iannetta in the mouth and nose. Iannetta laid on the ground for several minutes while the D-backs athletic
training staff tended to him. He was able to walk off the field with the medical staff.
“That was scary,” Pirates catcher Chris Stewart said. “I saw him get hit and his reaction, screaming afterwards, I knew it wasn’t
good. I said a little prayer for him. Hopefully everything’s all right and he gets back soon.”
Iannetta was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital for evaluation.
“Any time there’s head trauma, anytime there’s something that hits you in that area you are never comfortable until a diagnosis has
been made,” Lovullo said. “So, we’re taking every precaution possible to make sure he is OK.”
The two teams have a history of hit-by-pitches dating back to 2014, when Paul Goldschmidt’s season ended after he was hit on the left
hand by an Ernesto Frieri pitch  Blue Jays T Shirt.
The D-backs retaliated by hitting Pirates star Andrew McCutchen with a pitch and he too ended up on the disabled list.
Then last May, Pirates reliever Arquimedes Caminero hit Jean Segura and Nick Ahmed in the head with pitches.
Barbato said after the game there was no intent to hit Iannetta.
“I was trying to get a fastball up and in,” he said. “Just got away. Obviously wasn’t on purpose or anything. I think I felt worse
than anyone in the stadium at the time. Just got in there a little too much, just got away from me. Definitely relieving when he can
get up on his own and walk off. Going to try to reach out to him and make sure he’s all right.”
Lovullo said he did not think Iannetta was hit intentionally.
“I think the pitch just got away from their pitcher,” he said. “And I’ll stand by that.”
The D-backs did, however, hit Stewart in the leg with two outs in the ninth.
“A situation like that, you kind of expect it,” Stewart said. “It grazed my knee, so if it squares it up, it could have been really
bad, but fortunately, it didn’t get bad. Hopefully everything’s over. We’ll turn the page and get after it tomorrow  retro hockey jerseys.”

St.Louis Blues is Disappointed

“We are disappointed, clearly, in here,” he stated. “Close series, a tough-fought against series. I simply think we’d this type of good chance to return to the Western Conference Finals again. They are tough to find. If only I possibly could say every year we are getting towards the second round and also have this chance, however it was difficult to swallow and it will likely be a difficult night tonight.”

The Blues were -3 in games at Bridgestone Arena and scored one goal in every loss. They have to win one here after losing home ice having a 4-3 reduction in Game 1, however that never materialized on the highway, in which the Blues were 12-1-one in 14 games before series.

“To begin with, when you are on the highway, you would like your power play to become much more of an issue,Inch coach Mike Yeo stated following the Blues went 1-for-15 in every round. “We did not element in whatsoever, no power-play goals, came one power play tonight, so that isn’t enough too. Fundamental essentials things we must take a look at and clearly areas we must grow.”

Numerous players performed through bruises and bumps, but none of them greater than forward Alexander Steen, who performed the whole postseason having a damaged left feet, that was further complicated having a shot block in Game 4 on Tuesday.

“It’s not only me though,” Steen stated. “It’s everyone. There’s guys in here having fun with shoulders, sides, knees, ft, heels. Take your pick. Guys dig in here. I believe we put lots of pride inside it. I believe you can observe it in the manner they play.

“It could seem odd, but it is the enjoyment some of it. It is the [togetherness]. Together, you grow so near the coast playoffs. I believe the kind of season we have had after which entering the playoffs after which … If only everyone often see how are you affected in those four walls since it is pretty special. Guys also have each other peoples backs. It is a pretty tight-knit group.”

With another Game 6 loss, the Blues are -8 in Game 6’s and outscored 31-14 dating to April 21, 2001, a couple-1 win in the San Jose Sharks Blue Jays Canada Day.

“It’s difficult,Inch defenseman Colton Parayko stated. “I am speaking from emotion at this time, however it would be a good series. All the games was close. Mike was on his mind. I figured we gave ourselves an opportunity to win in many individuals games but [i was] just around the wrong side from it.Inch
